About The Position

Unidine is hiring full-time and part-time Cooks at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire. Days and hours may vary, with multiple shifts available; weekend and holiday availability is required. The role prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and company standards, guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures, and ensures quality food service. Pay is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Free shift meals and uniforms are provided.

Requirements

Prior line cook experience is required.
Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, or senior living food service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
Serve meals or prepare them for delivery using correct portion sizes and standards, ensuring proper temperature and appealing presentation.
Taste prepared food items.
Use established ticket collection procedures and maintain records for the work area during service periods.
Clean the kitchen after preparation and service and maintain high cleanliness standards.
Store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures; keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
Store food and supplies according to standards.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
Assist with production planning, record keeping, reporting, and ordering and receiving food and supplies as required.
Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, and accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Attend in-service and safety meetings.
Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
Work safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, and follow HACCP standards.
Follow company policies and safety procedures, including use of protective gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
