About The Position

Broadway Cityview is recruiting a hospitality-focused, part-time Cook for its Community Culinary Services Department. The position performs hands-on, full-scope production cooking and is responsible for maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. The Cook prepares and serves food in accordance with menu, food-quality, presentation, nutritional, dietary, sanitation, and operational standards, and contributes to a welcoming environment for residents.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience.
• Enthusiasm, compassion, and a passion for hospitality and senior engagement.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
• Follow food-quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
• Produce and serve menu-cycle programs that meet required nutritional and dietary criteria and prepare prescribed diets according to policy and procedure.
• Cook with speed, accuracy, and efficiency, demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and production.
• Assist with meal service and ware washing as needed.
• Periodically visit residents to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance, and make operational or procedural revisions to improve service.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner that creates a positive marketing environment.
• Support a culture in which business decisions and employee engagement contribute to revenue and occupancy.
