About The Position

Broadway Cityview is recruiting for a hospitality-focused, part-time Cook in the Community Culinary Services Department. This hands-on production cooking position is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness. The Cook prepares and serves menu-cycle programs in accordance with nutritional and dietary criteria, follows established policies and procedures, and contributes to a positive dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience.

• Culinary degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
• Produce and serve menu-cycle programs that meet required nutritional and dietary criteria under local regulations, and correctly prepare diets according to policy and procedure.
• Meet cooking standards for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cooking preparation and production.
• Assist with meal service and ware washing as needed.
• Periodically visit residents to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance, and make operational or procedural revisions to improve food service.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment.
• Support a culture in which business decisions and employee engagement contribute to revenue and occupancy.
