About The Position

The Cook is a key member of the restaurant team, responsible for preparing and presenting quality food to guests. The role includes prep and grill cooking, following guest specifications and plate presentation guides, maintaining food safety and storage practices, and keeping equipment in operating condition. Cooks work in a customer-service-focused environment and coordinate with leaders and coworkers to meet restaurant and guest needs. The position may involve exposure to outdoor elements, fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, and substances such as dirt, dust, grease, oil, gas, and concentrated cleaning solutions.

Requirements

Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous food service experience is a plus.
Works well with others and is excited to be part of the team.

Responsibilities

Perform prep cook tasks, including washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
Set up broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets.
Prepare products to guest specifications and follow plate presentation guides.
Complete prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
Follow safe food handling and storage practices and waste-control procedures.
Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations involving team members or customers.
Maintain equipment according to operating standards.
Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
