About The Position
LV Petroleum is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead operations at its Black Bear Diner. The role combines restaurant-industry knowledge and leadership to create a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy quality food and service. The Assistant General Manager oversees restaurant operations, maintains standards for food quality, customer service, and cleanliness, and supports the diner’s business performance. The role also involves leading staff, managing financial performance, engaging with guests, collaborating on menu updates and promotions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant or diner environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team and create a culture of excellence.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong focus on high-quality dining experiences and excellent customer service.
- Ability to think quickly and address daily operational challenges effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Lead, train, and inspire associates to deliver exceptional dining experiences and foster a positive work environment.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures to enhance profitability.
- Engage with customers, support memorable guest experiences, and address issues or feedback.
- Collaborate with chefs on menu updates and special promotions.
- Drive marketing efforts and promotions, including community events and outreach, to attract and retain customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe dining environment for staff and guests.
