About The Position

Newport Beach Country Club is seeking Cooks to join their innovative culinary team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will assist in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. This role involves leading and assisting with kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Food Serve Safe certification
Knowledge of California sanitation regulations
Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

Assist the Sous Chef in providing excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests.
Demonstrate, prepare, and execute menu items according to specifications and presentation standards.
Ensure food is produced on a timely basis to support proper guest service.
Educate servers regarding the menu.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen facilities.
Prepare food items such as dressings, cold sauces, condiments, juices, fruit/vegetable trays, cheese/meat platters, appetizers, canapes, cold hors d'oeuvres, and salads according to company recipes and guidelines.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
Notify management of unsafe conditions, needed equipment maintenance, and any accidents.
