About The Position

The Cook assists the Executive Chef/Dining Services Director with meal preparation and provides excellent customer service in a senior living community. The role prepares meals for residents, associates, and visitors, supports coordination and communication among the dining team and resident assistants, and contributes to planning and implementing special events. The Cook also maintains required records and administrative paperwork and follows safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.

This is a full-time position with rotating weekends available. The listed pay is $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience in culinary arts or food service.
• Knowledge of volume food preparation.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate food service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Assist in coordinating effective communication among the dining team and resident assistants.
• Work with the Connections Director and Director of Sales and Marketing to plan and implement special events.
• Maintain necessary records and complete administrative paperwork as required.
• Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.
• Provide excellent customer service.
