About The Position
We’re seeking a positive, friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven Cook to assemble, prepare, and portion food for people supported and staff. With our Cook position we offer training and growth opportunities.
Requirements
- A minimum high school diploma/GED is required.
- All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
Nice To Haves
- Educational food production courses are preferred.
- Two years of experience in large scale cooking operation is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- ServeSafe certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible for daily meals for individuals supported, employees, and guests/visitors
- Follows standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store and use food
- Measures, weights, counts and divides out hot foods by delivery site
- Cooks hot items for contract meals
- Participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions
- Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation
- Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamer, food grinders, and more
- Provides excellent customer service
