About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Line Cook/Grill in Tucson, Arizona. The cook assists with kitchen station setup and stocking, plates prepared food according to the senior chef’s guidance, and coordinates with servers to complete orders on time. The role also includes cleaning and storing kitchen equipment at the end of shifts and following food-storage, hygiene, and food-safety procedures and regulations. The schedule is a swing shift from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., five days per week, Monday through Sunday, with days varying. Pay is $17.50 per hour, paid weekly. Overtime is available.

Requirements

Line Cook/Grill experience is required.
GED or high school diploma.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to work in the United States.
Knowledge of food-safety rules and regulations.
Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a culinary program is preferred.
Proficiency in a variety of cooking styles and techniques.

Responsibilities
