About The Position

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare, is seeking a Per Diem Cook for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. This facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

• One (1) year cooking experience required.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests.
• Assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas.
• In the absence of the Manager, supervise the dietary staff, ensuring adherence to facility and departmental policies and procedures, as well as proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies.
• Accept and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
• Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
• Demonstrate a willingness to help with work that needs to be done.
• Take initiative to identify problems and bring about positive and sustainable solutions.
