About The Position

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare, is seeking a Per Diem Cook for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital located in Bowling Green, KY. This facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals recovering from various conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The hospital emphasizes career growth and personal well-being for its team members.

Requirements

  • One (1) year cooking experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred.
  • Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

  • In the absence of the Manager, supervise the dietary staff, ensuring facility and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to, and that proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies are being followed.
  • Accept and understand both verbal and written instructions.
  • Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
  • Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to help with work that needs to be done.
  • Take initiative to not only identify problems, but to bring about a positive and sustainable solution.
