About The Position

Biltmore Farms is part of the Vanderbilt legacy of hospitality. The Fork Lore team offers a fresh approach to Southern dining in South Asheville, delighting diners with exceptional meals and exemplary service. This full restaurant and bar serves Asheville and guests of Hilton Biltmore Park. The ideal candidate will join this culinary team, contributing to an elevated dining experience from soups to sauces, with complete knowledge of culinary customs.

Requirements

Complete knowledge of culinary customs and knows how to deliver.
Be a team player, willing to pitch in to help wherever needed in the kitchen.
Be able to utilize and maintain Hilton standards in every function performed.
At least two years of full-service restaurant or hotel kitchen experience.
Must have knowledge of buffet preparation, line cooking, soups, sauces, etc.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Be flexible and willing to work wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

Degree in a Culinary program
Experience in a hotel environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for preparing hot and cold foods.
Follow the philosophies of our Culinary Team, preparing our recipes with accuracy and efficiency.
Comply with all sanitation and health department regulations.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness from shift commencement to close.
Upkeep all inventory and use proper food rotation and culinary principal.
Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork as per standards of service.
Complete all duties and procedures as put forth by our Kitchen Management team.
Have a "can-do" and upbeat attitude while providing support to the team.
Be available to work flexible schedules which include weekends and holidays.
