About The Position

Work in Paradise! Join the team of the Napa Valley Wine Train. This historically, luxury, and Iconic experience has been a staple in Napa's Wine Country for over 30 years. As a Line Cook II, you are on the front lines with excellent fine dining service experience. Having some skills as Pastry Chef de Partie, you will prepare and cook for our guests on our various train experiences from legacy, lunch, and dinner train. Also, for our various other seasonal experiences and private events. Your friendly, energetic, and professional personality will be a part of ensuring our guests' stay is a memorable one.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook.
  • Entry level experience as Pastry Chef de Partie.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in small space, fast paced environment, and on a moving train.
  • Ability to stand for long period of time.
  • Must be available for day or evening, holidays and weekend shifts.
  • Serve Safe (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Speak & Read English - Minimum.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to provide documentation to legally work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school diploma a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook for guests on various train experiences (legacy, lunch, and dinner trains).
  • Prepare food for seasonal experiences and private events.
