Bakers are responsible for the preparation of recipes and food items. This includes batch production, finishing, banquet plating, and a la minute dessert production. They also maintain the general cleanliness of the bake shop and various pastry stations throughout the organization. They are to be organized, precise, detailed oriented, and able to follow directions with flexibility based on production demands. The Baker, in the absence of the Chef or Stewarding Supervisor/Manager, can direct stewarding to do their job duties.
