About The Position

The Village of Ridgeview Court has an exciting opportunity for a Cook I to join their team. This is a permanent part-time position located at 545 Dymott Ave, Milton, ON L9E 2C9. The role focuses on creating exceptional mealtime experiences for residents and their families through delicious and well-balanced meals, fostering exemplary relationships, and focusing on flexible dining and customer service. The position also involves following meal plans according to physician orders and nutritional guidelines, and supporting a resident-centered social culture.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Produced food in large quantities, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting
• Have proven leadership abilities
• Contribute toward a resident-centered care approach ensuring respect and dignity to all residents.
• Worked as a co-operative team member

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional mealtime experiences for our residents and their families through the provision of delicious and well-balanced meals, fostering exemplary relationships with residents and their families while focusing on flexible dining and customer service.
• Be able to lift up to 35lbs.
• Follow meal plans in accordance with Physicians orders and nutritional guidelines, and are able to lead other team members in pursuit of a resident-centered dining experience.
• Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support.
