About The Position

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I at its North Liberty Medical Campus. Under direct supervision, this position performs general cooking duties using standardized recipes and carries out other food preparation and sanitation tasks as required. The position is located in North Liberty, Iowa, and is scheduled for 50% time on Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cooking, food preparation, and meal service using standardized recipes and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize the cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures.
• Check food against predetermined quality standards before service.
• Perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.
