About The Position

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I at its North Liberty Medical Campus. Under direct supervision, this position performs general cooking duties using standardized recipes and completes other preparation and sanitation duties as required. The role is a 50% position scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cooking, food preparation, and meal service using standardized recipes and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize the cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures.
• Check food against predetermined quality standards before service.
• Perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.
