About The Position
The Village of Wentworth Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Cook I to join their team. This is an unscheduled part-time position located at 1620 Upper Wentworth St, Hamilton, ON L9B 2W3. The hiring rate for this role is $24.87 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Requirements
- Be a graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college
- Possess a food safety certification
- Be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role
Nice To Haves
- Acquired a Red Seal designation
- Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
