About The Position

Follows directions for preparing, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food items for consumption in patient and retail serving areas. Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meat, poultry or fish for culinary use. Tastes products, reads and follows production sheets, and keep records as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-2 Years of related work experience
  • Applies basic skills and may develop skills appropriate for the position
  • Focus primarily on own area of specialty
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation.
  • Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment
  • Typically requires limited cooking experience
