About The Position
Grand Meadow Senior Living is hiring an on-call Cook and Dining Services Aide (Dietary Aide) to cover shifts as needed, especially on weekends. The role involves cooking and serving nutritious, enjoyable meals for residents in a warm, welcoming senior living community. It may suit people seeking flexible extra hours, including students, retirees, or people with another job. Shifts vary according to need, and weekend availability is a priority. Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is required.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods and food safety.
- Availability to cover on-call shifts, especially weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Cook and serve meals in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow menus and residents’ dietary needs, including special and texture-modified diets.
- Keep kitchen equipment, work areas, and storage spaces clean.
- Receive deliveries and store food and supplies properly.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
- Interact with residents, guests, and team members in a friendly, professional manner.
