This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary kitchen and cooking area. The role involves preparing tasteful meals in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guides, and accurately preparing special diets. The Cook/Dietary Aide will also record food temperatures, prepare pureed foods, and ensure cleaning schedules are followed. This role requires cooperation with personnel in all departments and the ability to make food presentations appealing to residents. In the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, this job has supervisory responsibilities.
