About The Position

Highland Senior Living, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef/Cook to join their growing team. Highland Senior Living is located in Little Falls, Minnesota and is a combination of Assisted Living and Memory Care Units, with a total of 65 units. The community focuses on providing excellent care and support for residents to 'Age Magnificently'. Lifespark is a complete senior health company headquartered in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, dedicated to helping seniors live healthier, more independent lives since 2004.

Requirements

1+ year of high-volume cooking experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to pass the Minnesota Dept. of Health background check.
Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
Able to read and understand recipes that are written in English.
Strong math skills for adjusting recipe amounts as needed.
Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.
Prepare (primarily scratch cooking) and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
