About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is recruiting experienced Cooks and Food Service Workers for a long-term care nursing facility in Stamford, NY. This role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food quality for residents. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with day and evening shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-year long-term care, hospital, or healthcare experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
• Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of meals, beverages, and snacks.
• Delivering trays and carts to resident floors and dining rooms.
• Assembling resident meal trays.
• Working in the dish room and pot sink.
• Sweeping and mopping.
• Disposal of trash and recyclables.
• Follow proper cleaning techniques of all kitchen equipment and work areas.
