About The Position

Max Daytona in Daytona Beach, Florida is hiring a Cook to perform culinary duties and help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe kitchen environment. The role includes preparing and stocking food, maintaining food areas according to health specifications, supporting kitchen stewarding, and participating in catered events. No prior experience is necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to complete work orders, balance multiple tasks, take direction, prioritize assignments, and complete tasks efficiently.
Basic computer skills.
Maintain a clean and sanitary appearance.
Willingness to take on other duties as assigned by the manager.

Responsibilities

Prepare food according to specifications and maintain kitchen and surrounding areas.
Keep food areas clean and store items properly at the end of each shift in accordance with health specifications.
Ticket and date food items with the employee’s name to ensure freshness, and receive and account for stocked items.
Wash work areas, including refrigerators, and clean utensils; break down trash and boxes and move them to the proper area.
Stock food in coolers and on appropriate shelves in accordance with Department of Health regulations.
Record and report food lost through spoilage or overproduction.
Assist with stewarding duties, including washing pots, pans, kitchen utensils, serving bowls, serving dishes, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain a sanitary, organized, and safe kitchen work area and environment.
Help conduct inventory when needed, especially for high-cost items.
Participate in catered events.
