About The Position

The COO Operations Summer 2027 Program offers internship opportunities for undergraduate students within RBCCM's COO Operations division. These internships are designed for driven and focused students seeking a career in Capital Markets, providing exposure to business support and product areas. Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience in various support functions for the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) within the Capital Markets division, including exposure to FCM products and services. The program emphasizes selecting well-rounded individuals with strong academic achievement, technical and analytical skills, diverse extracurricular activities, excellent communication and leadership qualities, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. The 10-week program includes practical training, capital markets experience, and career-building mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
• Graduating December 2027 or Spring 2028
• Basic market knowledge and a demonstrated keen interest in the financial markets
• Strong analytical and personal skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environments
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas recommended: Customer Service, Accounting, Financial Planning/Analysis, Data Entry

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in different areas of the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) working alongside experienced COO Operations professionals.
• Obtain hands-on experience working alongside experienced business professionals.
• Gain exposure to different areas of capital markets.
• Develop an understanding of RBC Capital Markets capabilities.
