About The Position

The Converting Machine Operator monitors assigned converting machines to ensure products meet company standards for safety, quality, and throughput. The role supports Pregis’ core values and follows safety programs, guidelines, rules, and personal protective equipment requirements. Operators work inside around moving equipment, with potentially high heat, humidity, and noise. This is a full-time position on a 12-hour rotation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with overtime expected based on business demand.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others.
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with the team and during shift transitions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Prior knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

Follow company safety programs, guidelines, rules, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
Physically and visually inspect products to prevent non-conforming goods and promptly report quality defects.
Maintain appropriate production supplies and materials to minimize downtime for the next shift.
Continuously monitor machine operation to maintain accurate product measurements and quality.
Meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste, and meet customer requirements.
Accurately enter production reporting data into the machine computer.
Develop knowledge and skills of Set-up Technicians to assist with troubleshooting when needed.
Attend meetings and complete required safety training.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
