About The Position

At Jabil, the Conversions Material Handler III works under minimal supervision and acts as the lead when the Supervisor is absent. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP and following department procedures. The employee should be able to perform at least three of these functions: return to stock, stockroom, cycle counting, work-in-process support, shipping, receiving inspection, or receiving. The role reconciles inventory variances, reports line-record accuracy to the Supervisor and Manager, and may liaise among Production Control, Production Management, and the production line about inventory issues or shortages. Stockroom and return-to-stock duties include putting material away with RF scanners and verifying transactions in SAP, pulling and splitting kits, scanning kits to the G drive, identifying shortages, counting material returned from production, and keeping box-build areas and kanban replenishment organized. Other duties may include moving materials between Operations locations, cycle counting, completing material disposition reports, and backflushing material in the ERP system. Receiving duties include following documented receiving procedures, validating carton counts against bills of lading, matching packing documents to lots, documenting exceptions, signing for validated deliveries, and entering production-material receipts after validating purchase orders, part numbers, quantities, and suppliers. The role may also perform de-trash shipments. Receiving inspection duties include following inspection plans and special instructions, verifying packing slips and receipt and inventory quantities, performing SAP transactions to move material, and making direct-withdraw inventory adjustments. The employee must obtain and maintain annual Quality Control Inspection certification based on IPC-A-610. Shipping duties include understanding domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation, scheduling or managing carriers under corporate guidelines, and performing material movements, system transactions, and verifications safely and accurately. The role supports work-cell month-end shipping until shipments are complete, which may require substantial extra hours, and operates material-handling equipment as needed.
