About The Position

In coordination with the Operations Manager/Supervisor and Manager, the Conversion Supervisor Lead will create, plan, and implement all normal and necessary conversion and event plans. Assist in supervising and scheduling all aspects of operations, including buildings and grounds, production, technical, audiovisual, and custodial services, and parking departments and inventory control. Serve as the lead default person responsible for converting the building from one event to the next. Implement and enforce facility rules, regulation policies and procedures. Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems and complaints. Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to staff and follow up to ensure all tasks are done. Ensure that the Operations Department receives pertinent information for the most effective use of the facility and staffing. Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage or loss of property or any other safety concerns to the manager. Assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events. Oversee maintenance of the physical facility and systems. Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily independently or as part of a team.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate degree from a technical college and/or a minimum of two (2) years in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to think, work, and operate independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills including conflict resolution, troubleshooting technical and facility services, and emergency response.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact at all levels of staffing, including management.
  • Ability to effectively supervise work with and lead staff.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Some computer skills with Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
  • Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Pass background check.
  • Walk extensively.
  • Frequently required to kneel, climb high walkways or balance.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work inside and outside the building with some exposure to adverse conditions.

  • Ability to work in AutoCAD is preferred but not required.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Assist with interviewing and training employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Discipline employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Address complaints and resolve conflicts.
