About The Position

Samba is a media intelligence company that provides data on what the world is watching, reading, and thinking about. The company is looking for a Conversational Marketing Specialist to join their Growth Marketing team. This role will focus on 1:1 channels to convert high-intent accounts into qualified pipeline, sitting at the intersection of marketing and sales development. The ideal candidate will be eager to build the future of this discipline with AI, designing, launching, and optimizing conversational campaigns across web chat, email, and SMS. This role involves partnering directly with sellers to advance deals and ensure their book of business is covered by campaigns. The position requires a blend of campaign building, copywriting, and automation architecture, with a strong emphasis on using AI for automations and marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in B2B demand generation, marketing campaigns, BDR/SDR, or conversational marketing.
  • Fluency in HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Comfort with tools like Gong Engage, 6sense, Drift/Qualified, and modern martech.
  • Hands-on experience designing campaigns with automation logic (triggers, branching, enrollment criteria, suppression lists).
  • Ability to write sharp, on-brand 1:1 communications (emails, chat scripts, call talk tracks) that sound human, resonate with the target persona, and drive action.
  • Understanding of ABM principles and experience executing account-based plays that coordinate across channels and align with sales priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting marketing and sales data to guide outreach strategy, optimize campaigns, and report results.
  • AI-native: daily use of AI tools (Claude, Cowork, or comparable) for outreach drafting, lead research, campaign design, reporting, and personalization.
  • Ability to navigate complex B2B sales cycles, technical products, and large organizations, driving work forward with imperfect information.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, marketing ops, design, and product teams.
  • High bar for quality balanced with velocity to hit numbers.
  • Energized by experimentation and building diversified, iteratively tested playbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage multi-channel conversational campaigns (web chat, 1:1 email, SMS, targeted phone outreach) to generate and accelerate pipeline from qualified lead through qualified opportunity.
  • Own the web chat channel end-to-end, including building automated chat flows and managing a live chat experience for high-value B2B visitors, routing conversations to sellers.
  • Send targeted 1:1 emails and outreach on behalf of sellers using Gong Engage, following up with leads and proactively identifying accounts to nurture and re-engage.
  • Partner with marketing operations to transform high-performing campaigns into scalable automations, including designing workflows, writing copy, defining triggers and branching logic.
  • Build and refine persona-specific messaging across Samba TV's key buyer segments, adapting tone, positioning, and value propositions.
  • Manage and optimize HubSpot and Salesforce workflows for lead tracking, nurture sequencing, and performance measurement, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Identify gaps in the funnel, such as where leads stall, missing data, or ineffective messaging, and propose and implement solutions using new channels or tools.
  • Track key metrics obsessively, owning MQL → SQL → opportunity → pipeline → revenue metrics, and reporting on campaign performance weekly with data-driven iterations.
  • Utilize AI tools (Claude/Cowork, AI agents, generative AI) for daily workflows, including drafting outreach, personalizing at scale, building automations, researching accounts, and analyzing campaign results.
