About The Position

Conversation Partners are proficient English speakers who help visiting students from abroad practice spoken English through informal conversations and sociocultural activities. Applicants must have clear and effective verbal communication skills, be capable of organizing and leading small group discussions and activities. Ideally, applicants will be current McGill students. A brief training session and guidelines will be provided before the program begins. Availability of at least 3 hours from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday), for a total of approximately 45 hours. Additional hours may be available.

Requirements

• Proficient English speakers
• Clear and effective verbal communication skills
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
