About The Position

This position involves the set-up and operation of milling machines to produce stainless steel parts to specification. The operator will be responsible for running multiple mills simultaneously, performing inspections to ensure material meets specifications, and reading/understanding drawings to machine parts accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, toolmakers microscope
• 2 years' experience in direct manufacturing
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience running a mill or machining background a plus

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of milling machines
• Produce stainless steel parts to specification
• Run several mills at one time
• Perform inspections to ensure material is within specification
• Read and understand drawings and machine parts to specification
• Take measurements and make machine adjustments as required to hold tolerances
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
