This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of group bookings, special events, and catering.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism
Bachelor’s degree - Hospitality Management
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 6 years
Post-employment: RAMP Certification
Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organization skills.
Keyboarding skills and PC familiarity.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
The ability to interact in a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests and instill such virtue in staff.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to understand needs and coordinate and develop program details; collaborate with operating departments to create special activities, menus, services, set-ups, AV, etc.
Conduct planning visits with clients via in person and/or by phone.
Anticipate group needs.
Produce and maintain accounts in Amadeus; Prepare comprehensive group resumes.
Outlining details of functions on banquet event orders and floor plans.
Review group programs turned over by the sales team for opportunities to up-sell food and beverage, AV, room rental, etc.
Coordinate the collective efforts of all departments involved in the execution of the event; Monitoring financial performance of group events.
Chair service meetings; Participates in the Manager on Duty program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
