Convention & Events Intern - Remote (TX, FL, SC, PA)
About The Position
The Events Intern supports the full scope of planning and execution for ALPFA Convention 2026, contributing across logistics, vendor coordination, attendee experience, and on-site operations. This role sits on the PgMO/PMO team and offers hands-on experience delivering a national-scale event. Your Summer at ALPFA — 2026 Intern Program This is a 10-week paid, remote internship (June 22 – August 28, 2026) however, “remote internship” doesn’t quite capture it. You’ll own a real project that matters to a national organization, with a people manager and teammates invested in your growth along with a built-in cohort of fellow interns with you. You’ll start with a Week 1 orientation that gets you connected and confident, check in at the mid-point so there are no surprises, and finish by presenting your summer’s work directly to ALPFA’s senior leaders and your peers. The highlight: Every intern travels to the ALPFA National Convention (August 9–13) with us. Flights, hotel, and meals are covered. You’ll work the largest gathering of Latino professionals in the country, build your network, and see the mission you’re contributing to come alive in person.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student (rising junior).
- Event coordination and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Monday.com and Slack and Google Workspace.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work the full program (June 22 – August 28, 2026) and to travel to the ALPFA National Convention, August 9–13, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide cross-functional event support across the convention planning team.
- Track event logistics and maintain coordination documentation.
- Support vendor and venue coordination.
- Assist with on-site execution during the convention.
- Prepare pre- and post-event documentation.
- Deliver a capstone presentation in the final week of the program (August 24–28), summarizing summer projects and outcomes to ALPFA leadership.
