About The Position

Receives and collects refuse at a designated convenience site. The worker gathers and carries containers from customers, empties refuse into appropriate bins, collects separated recycling materials, and empties them into designated recycling bins. The role may also involve helping load, unload, and clean a garbage truck at the site, and starting the hoisting device that raises a refuse bin attached to the rear of the truck. Other duties may be assigned at the convenience site.

Requirements

• No prior work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Gather and carry containers from convenience site customers and dump refuse into appropriate bins.
• Gather separated recycling materials and dump them into appropriate recycling bins.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and cleaning the garbage truck at the convenience site as necessary.
• Start the hoisting device that raises the refuse bin attached to the rear of the truck as necessary.
• Perform other duties as directed at the convenience site.
