About The Position

Charleston County Environmental Management is seeking a highly motivated, safety-minded employee who enjoys working outdoors, assisting the public, providing customer service, and performing a variety of tasks at convenience centers. The employee’s primary site will be the Adams Run Convenience Center. The hiring hourly range is $15.00–$16.96. The position is open until filled, and application review begins immediately.

Requirements

• Have and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Have one year of experience dealing with the public or in customer service.
• Present a positive attitude when dealing with Charleston County residents.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Have an eighth-grade education or an equivalent combination of training and work experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely opening and closing of the assigned convenience center.
• Maintain the convenience center and surrounding areas so they are clean and free of debris.
• Assist members of the public and provide customer service.
