About The Position

This is a hands-on, non-production operation role responsible for performing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, rebuilds, and projects on all plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and supervising electrical control systems for machinery and equipment. It requires working closely with the Plant Engineer and Maintenance Managers to plan and accomplish goals, assisting the Project Coordinator in developing and implementing cost savings solutions, and providing electrical and programming troubleshooting support for all plant equipment and processes. The position is accountable for assisting all personnel with electrical and equipment troubleshooting, performing and assisting in PLC programming and maintaining files, designing and developing HMI systems, managing and assisting with controls documentation, helping to build and wire equipment panels, managing assigned projects from start to finish, managing and assisting with SOP documentation, assisting Refrigeration Specialists as required, and participating in HAZMAT.

Requirements

  • PLC and HMI programming experience (RSlogix 500, RSlogix 5000, FactoryTalk View ME & SE, PanelView & PanelView +)
  • Electrical troubleshooting with PLC and VFD experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to solve computer system problems in a server environment.
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.

Nice To Haves

  • VB Programming
  • Licensed Electrician or in the process of acquiring license
  • TIG welds stainless steel to “food grade” standards

Responsibilities
