About The Position

This role is for a Controls Tech on the 1st shift. The position involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic systems, including PC/PLC and related machine issues. The technician will also assist team members with electrical maintenance, repair of equipment, building, tools, and machines. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting refrigeration and air conditioning systems, maintaining robots and intelligent actuators, analyzing electrical failures to prevent recurrence, and ensuring adherence to EMS/QMS procedures. The role requires the proper use of PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or High school diploma/ GED
  • Read electrical prints and diagrams.
  • 3 years industrial/electrical experience
  • Use meters & electrical test equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical/electronic machinery controls, electrical drawings & logic.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, & twist.
  • Ability to use PLC, HMI and Vision
  • Proper use of PPE and follow all safety guidelines including lockout tag out policy.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot PCU and Touch Screen issues.
  • Ability to support maintenance with camera issues, programing issues, server issues and shift support as needed
  • Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs. regularly; may occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs but only with assistance from other team members or mechanical equipment.
  • Skilled in using electrical logic to program machines and other electrical systems, starters, frequency drives, touch screens, machine controls, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills,
  • Experience with and management of software and programing. Saving changes of programs to server and hard drive
  • Able to follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, and repair all electrical/electronic systems including PC/PLC and related machine issues. Download new software as needed to PC’s
  • Assist team members in electrical maintenance changes and repair of all equipment, building, tools, and machines.
  • Trouble shoot refrigeration and air conditioning systems for plant and process utilities.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain robots, intelligent actuators, touch screens etc.
  • Analyze electrical failure for trends and implement counter measures to prevent recurrence
  • Proper use of PPE. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure EMS/QMS procedures are followed in performance of job duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
