GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform a variety of tasks, working under very minimal general supervision. Provide technical engineering support for processes and engineers.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
2 years engineering or manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of commonly known concepts, practices and procedures within a CNC machining production environment – CNC machining processes, G-code programming, assembly automation, leak testing, robotic loading and unloading of machine tools.

Responsibilities

Technical expert in assigned area.
Maintain CNC programs and processes and any program changes.
Maintain robot programming and any program changes. Ensure robots are operating properly.
Ensure appropriate cycle time is maintained.
Provides various training to operations for tools, grinding, balancer, change-overs, gauges, chucks.
Establish loader teach points for automated lathes (i.e. Fuji & Murata).
Adjust robot teach points.
Assist maintenance with any repairs when needed.
Assure proper preventive maintenance is completed.
Assist manufacturing engineers with new job start-ups and problem solving process (Green Belt tasks).
Produce trial run parts on new job start-ups.
Implementation of improvement project.
Trouble shoot assembly processes
Maintain or improve cycle times for assembly processes
Other duties assigned as needed
