About The Position
A Tier-1 Technology and Integration firm is seeking an experienced Controls Specialist / BAS Programmer with project coordination skills to support enterprise-level Building Automation System (BAS) initiatives throughout the Houston metro. This hybrid role blends hands-on programming with light project oversight, offering a mix of technical work and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Hands-on BAS programming experience (scripted or block-based)
- Experience with HVAC controls, system integration, or project coordination
Nice To Haves
- Background with Tridium Niagara integration tools
Responsibilities
- Develop BAS applications using project schematics, standards, and design documentation
- Write, revise, and implement sequences of operation
- Build, configure, and upload BAS databases
- Program systems using Script/Line or Function Block/Graphical methods
- Integrate devices and sub-systems via BACnet, Modbus, LON, and similar protocols
- Configure and work across various BAS control platforms
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, and internal stakeholders
- VPN into customer sites for updates, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Set up alarms, trends, dashboards, and system monitoring tools
- Assist with commissioning, equipment startup, and project turnover activities
- Provide technical guidance to field technicians as required
