About The Position

You will support the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing systems and controls to improve production performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost metrics. In this role, you will lead and execute projects that apply Lean manufacturing principles to enhance standard work, automation, and process reliability. You will collaborate across functions to design, integrate, and sustain manufacturing technologies and control systems. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency and manufacturing effectiveness through the deployment of scalable and compliant solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; will also consider Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and integration, including Allen Bradley systems.
  • Experience developing APIs and working with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and operations, including automation and assembly equipment.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis related to manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to design and modify electrical schematics using SolidWorks.
  • Experience designing and building custom electrical panels and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement manufacturing projects focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing lines and standard work using Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems aligned with established company control strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy manufacturing systems that ensure compliance, quality, and safety.
  • Develop analytical tools to monitor production system health and identify quality trends.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of control systems on new and existing equipment.
  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems and related automation technologies.
  • Integrate work instructions with process controls to improve consistency and operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce variability.
  • Develop standards for control system design, configuration, and equipment integration.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational and maintenance procedures for control applications.
  • Support implementation of IoT technologies within the manufacturing environment.
