About The Position

As a Controls Engineer with Husco, you will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and implementation of controls systems for large-scale automation projects- primarily focused on custom manufacturing equipment. This role involves working with both existing and emerging technologies while creating reliable, user-friendly interfaces for end users. Success in this position comes from strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity driven mindset- digging into root causes rather than addressing symptoms. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, thrives under pressure, can effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, and brings a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience with programming automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics.
  • Effective problem solving, judgement, and independent thinking skills for troubleshooting, repair, and recognition of acceptable or unacceptable product quality.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Allen Bradley HMI and PLC Programming experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deploy automation controls and electrical controls hardware and software.
  • Work as part of an execution team and assume complete responsibility for system updates or new system control functions from start to finish of the project.
  • Architect, develop, test, and deploy a reusable, modular software solution that involves using a structured software development process with version management.
  • Support field installation, startup, and debug of systems at Husco and customer sites.
  • Train and communicate automated machine functionality to end users.
