About The Position

Dematic is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer for its Life Cycle and Services Modernizations & Upgrades group. The role involves planning and producing electrical and control-system designs for conveyor systems, supporting implementation and commissioning, and delivering assigned engineering work within project schedules and budgets. Employees may be based anywhere in the continental United States and must be willing to travel to customer locations. The posting gives two travel estimates: up to 35–40% in the introductory description and up to 50% in the role details. The engineer will develop electrical layouts, schematic drawings, industrial networks, and semi-complex conveyor control software; configure drives and embedded conveyor controllers; perform engineering calculations and emulation testing; and document designs and results according to Dematic standards. The role also includes sharing knowledge with less experienced engineers, reporting progress to ME/CE Leads, commissioning systems that integrate hardware and software, and recommending productivity, cost, and customer-satisfaction improvements.
