Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet established deadlines.
  • Skills in research, analysis, and interpretation of financial information.
  • High sense of confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in handling and entering financial data.
  • Solid knowledge of mathematics applied to accounting and finance.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, practices, and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including preparation of professional reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English), both verbally and in writing.

  • Service orientation and experience in the hospitality industry, preferably.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferably.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all accounting and financial systems to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Maintain complete financial records and internal controls in accordance with hotel regulations and company policies.
  • Provide timely and relevant financial reports and operational metrics to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Manage the budgeting process, including preparation, projections, variance analysis, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee core accounting functions: accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and debt payments.
  • Ensure compliance with all municipal, state, and federal legal and tax requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required documentation.
  • Perform financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing strategies, and contractual negotiations.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that uniforms and personal presentation are kept clean and professional at all times.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive company information.
  • Perform other reasonable functions and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
