About The Position

LidWorks is seeking a Controller to join our Accounting Team. We are proud to be a family-owned company, employing local, hard-working people right here in Plant City, FL, since 1985.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Must have 8 to 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking working knowledge.
Very computer friendly, spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software).
Strong managerial abilities.

Nice To Haves

CPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.
Oversee the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
Oversee daily operations of the finance department.
Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
Assure corporate tax compliance to ensure accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax.
Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
