About The Position

A well-established commercial construction contractor is looking for an experienced Construction Controller to take ownership of its accounting and finance function. This is an opportunity to step into a key financial leadership position with a company generating approximately $9M–$15M annually and employing roughly 40 people. The company's longtime Controller is leaving after 16 years, but will remain available during a transition period to help the incoming Controller get fully acclimated to the business.

Requirements

• Currently a Controller or Assistant Controller within construction
• Experience independently managing a company's accounting and finance function
• Construction accounting
• WIP reporting
• Job costing
• Cash-flow forecasting
• Budgeting
• Construction financial reporting
• ERP/accounting systems
• Working directly with ownership
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a commercial subcontractor or specialty contractor is highly preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are preferred.
