About The Position
Our growing manufacturing client in the Glens Falls, NY area is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and support long-term business growth. This is a highly visible leadership role for a strategic, hands-on accounting professional with strong business acumen and operational finance experience. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of financial leadership, manufacturing expertise, and operational insight to help guide company growth and improve overall business performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Experience working with and managing ERP systems required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience supporting operations and business growth initiatives
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment
- Strong business sense and operational finance experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with department leadership
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Develop and improve internal controls, financial processes, and operational efficiencies
- Support strategic planning and growth initiatives through financial analysis and operational insight
- Manage ERP system processes and support system optimization initiatives
- Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk management activities
- Coordinate external audits, tax compliance activities, and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and executive leadership teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff
- Support operational decision-making through strong business and financial analysis
Benefits
- $125,000–$130,000/year
