About The Position

Our growing manufacturing client in the Glens Falls, NY area is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and support long-term business growth. This is a highly visible leadership role for a strategic, hands-on accounting professional with strong business acumen and operational finance experience. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of financial leadership, manufacturing expertise, and operational insight to help guide company growth and improve overall business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Experience working with and managing ERP systems required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience supporting operations and business growth initiatives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment
  • Strong business sense and operational finance experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with department leadership
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Develop and improve internal controls, financial processes, and operational efficiencies
  • Support strategic planning and growth initiatives through financial analysis and operational insight
  • Manage ERP system processes and support system optimization initiatives
  • Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk management activities
  • Coordinate external audits, tax compliance activities, and regulatory reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and executive leadership teams
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff
  • Support operational decision-making through strong business and financial analysis

Benefits

  • $125,000–$130,000/year
  • up to 20% bonus
