About The Position

General Statement: To lead and supervise the accounting team to maintain accounting records and processes, produce various financial statements and reports, provide account detail analysis, and ensure compliance and controls are in place to safeguard company assets and support company growth Duties, Responsibilities & Authority: Complete consolidated financial statements to internal and external stakeholders Manage and improve the month end close and internal control processes. Review all balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation and other GL activities. Provide technical accounting expertise and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Reviews customer contracts for proper set ups of revenue recognition (ASC606/IFRS15) Work with external auditors to provide audit and tax deliverables. Lead the accounting team to work with operations to maintain standard costing process. Lead the operational cost analysis, including logistics and freight costs. Ensure inventory and COGS accuracy and review capitalized variances. Work with the FP&A team in the preparations of the annual budget and monthly forecasts Ensure procedures are in place to track fixed assets, inventory and other company property. Work with operations to ensure proper audit process for physical inventory and cycle counts. Design and track of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) on accounting operations Lead the continuous accounting process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Assists VP of Finance and Director of Finance with daily finance functions of the business Perform other controllership duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA preferred. At least 7 years of experience with accounting, external/internal audit/manufacturing environment At least 2 years of experience managing/working with the accounting team. GAAP and inventory costing methodology and knowledge Public accounting and/or internal audit experience a plus Effective leadership/decision-making skills with strong staff development and communication skills Strong Excel, ERP, and other software skills Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Self-driven individual with the motivation to grow. Experience working in a dynamic and continuous improvement environment. Supervise: This job has supervisory responsibilities over AP, AR, and senior cost and GL accountants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least 7 years of experience with accounting, external/internal audit/manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years of experience managing/working with the accounting team.
  • GAAP and inventory costing methodology and knowledge
  • Effective leadership/decision-making skills with strong staff development and communication skills
  • Strong Excel, ERP, and other software skills
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
