Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
  • Expertise in general ledger management, sub-ledgers, close cycles, audits, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in GAAP is mandatory.
  • High competency in Financial and Productivity systems, particularly within nonprofit environments.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in driving financial accuracy and integrity for the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the organization's accounting needs are met with precision and accountability.
  • Timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Developing processes that safeguard assets and manage cash flows effectively.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Collaborating across functions to align accounting tasks with organizational goals.
  • Training staff on accounting systems.
  • Creating a standard operating procedures manual.
