About The Position

Hendrickson is searching for a Controller for their Truck Division. This role is located at their Woodridge, IL Technical Center. This individual will provide financial and administrative services for the various stakeholders of the Company. They will manage the monthly financial close process for the division, generating timely and accurate financial information that provides appropriate feedback and supports decision processes. Ensuring adequate controls are maintained and that the value of the company’s assets is properly stated is crucial. The role involves properly staffing and organizing the department to accomplish long-term goals, including recruiting and developing personnel into effective contributors within the department for potential movement into other company organizations. The Controller will contribute to overall Division strategy and operating plans, leading the preparation of budget, plan, and forecast, and leading the regular review of performance to prior year, plan, and forecast. Leadership in continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement, and elimination of waste is expected. This role serves as the lead for all internal & external audits, working with auditors, ensuring all documentation is prepared and submitted accordingly, and ensuring compliance to the Finance Manual. The Controller is responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely processing. They will also support the Director of Finance in the achievement of company-wide functional objectives. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or finance.
  • 7+ years of experience in a variety of accounting positions required (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with general business knowledge in a related industry.
  • Internal audit training required.
  • Office setting.
  • Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus.
