About the Role Our Controller is responsible for month-end close across multiple entities — including consolidations, budgeting, reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and ad hoc reporting. This role supports critical accounting, reporting, and internal control functions across domestic and international business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field — CPA or CMA designation highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting, including internal controls
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Knowledge of job costing principles and project accounting practices
  • Strong aptitude for ERP and financial/accounting systems
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to produce accurate, complete, and timely work
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable working across all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities — including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, and capitalized software
  • Prepare and analyze accurate, timely financial statements: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Work with executive management to establish financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Participate in the collaborative forecasting and budgeting process, incorporating key business drivers and strategies
  • Perform monthly revenue recognition in conjunction with the project management team
  • Maintain accounting records and internal controls, including contracts, workpapers, policies, and timelines
  • Ensure accuracy of physical inventory and reported results; investigate and explain book-to-physical adjustments
  • Ensure bill of materials and costing accurately reflect production operations — including labor, materials, overhead, distribution, returns, and inventory levels
  • Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items
  • Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance and other departments across the organization
  • Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
